Defining US Local
Bringing the Defining US conversation local tells the story about your community.
Now more than ever, communities are looking for credible leadership; and schools, school districts, and child-centered organizations are looking for credible resources that can help parents and students navigate confusing information on issues that are most important to them.
We create private label documentary short films designed to reach and teach your community. We can produce a stand-alone film or series that provides a visual history of your work on social issues. These documentary-style films are the foundational teaching tool for professional development modules and can also be used to reach and teach your community about your mission and message.
Defining US Local includes:
- Short Narratives/Streaming Interviews for Collaborative Learning: Ten (10) streaming narratives/interviews up to 2 minutes in length on topics selected by school administrators. Narratives include student, educator, and parent voices based on preference of school administrators. These narratives allow teachers and staff to learn from each other, share best practices, and implement strategies learned through professional development.
- Corresponding Digital Resources: Short story-focused, narrative films serve as a catalyst for corresponding text resources that provide deeper support for professional development, student, and parent engagement. These digital resources include text resources for teachers, lesson plans for students, and print resources for parents.
